Keoghs reveals UK's towns blighted by insurance fraud
15 March 2010 | top
We have helped secure widespread coverage for a major annual study into insurance fraud produced by specialist law firm Keoghs.
The Motor Fraud Index 2010 reveals that motor insurance fraud is now affecting more of England's most densely populated areas than ever before, with the most common fraud being a staged accident ('crash-for-cash') – much of which is being masterminded by criminal gangs.
Keoghs' client base accounts for over two thirds of the UK motor insurance market, so generating profile within industry trade media was a major focus for us – please see examples of coverage at Post Online and Insurance Times.
The objective of the ongoing campaign is to clearly demonstrate that Keoghs is playing a lead role in stamping out insurance fraud and helping insurance companies to develop their counter-fraud capabilities – especially at a time when the Association of British Insurers claims that £1.9bn of insurance fraud probably went undetected in 2009.
