Manifesto launch for Speedy
19 March 2010 | top

We've just produced and launched the first pre-election manifesto for client Speedy – the UK's largest equipment and support services group.
The document – entitled 'Positive change through leadership' – outlines a package of 'priority measures' designed to fuel future growth, while delivering on what Speedy calls the 'biggest industry challenges in a generation' such as low carbon and skills development.
As well as influencing UK trade and industry media, the document has been distributed to key decision makers in Government and opposition, and to industry groups, trade bodies and support agencies across the UK.
The objective is to clearly demonstrate that Speedy is keen to play its part in addressing the industry agenda.
Public sector shuts the door to SMEs
10 February 2010 | top
A major study by our client – the National Federation of Builders (NFB) – found that a quarter of SME construction firms had been forced to make redundancies after being excluded from public sector work in the last two years.
The NFB's bi-annual Public Sector Procurement report is the one of the most comprehensive pieces of research in the industry, and a key
lobbying tool for its policy team.
Following a double page exclusive in Building magazine, we gained coverage across national, regional, and trade media for both the public and construction sectors, helping to champion the major issues that affect thousands of SME businesses.

Morris Homes reports massive sales growth
9 February 2010 | top
Morris Homes has reported a 43 per cent increase in private reservations for the final nine months of 2009.
In a sign of improving conditions in the housing market, the company re-opened seven mothballed sites during the period and a further six sites are expected to open before the end of March this year, bringing its total number of outlets back to in excess of 50 for the first time in three years.
The company is also remaining active in the land market and has recently invested a total of £27m purchasing sites in Peterborough, Telford, Worcester, Melton Mowbray, Marple and St Helens.
We helped secure coverage of this story in a number of regional business titles, examples of which can be viewed below:
