LKQ UK & Ireland: Driving change in the aftermarket
For LKQ Euro Car Parts, we shone a spotlight on a soon-to-expire but little-known piece of European competition law that protects consumers’ choice to buy unbranded car parts from independent garages – which also protects’ garages ability to trade.
We calculated the cost to the consumer should the legislation not be renewed, which drove more than 170 headlines – including in The Telegraph, The Sun and The Daily Mail, and numerous specialist motoring titles – and which drove 65% of all Google searches about the legislation in a three-month period.
There were 131 engagements with the four LinkedIn posts we drafted for the LKQ Euro Car Parts CEO, with more than 400 views per article – 79% of which came from the wider automotive industry – and a 102% uplift in his views and followers.
