Citypress drives off with Euro Car Parts
21st April 2020
We’ve been appointed by the UK’s largest automotive parts distributor, Euro Car Parts, as its lead social, trade and corporate PR advisor in the UK.
Euro Car Parts, which is part of Nasdaq-listed LKQ Corporation, operates a nationwide network of more than 330 outlets and employs more than 12,000 people. It makes 124 deliveries every minute to the automotive aftermarket trade and retail customers.
We secured the brief following competitive pitches for Euro Car Parts’ always-on social content and paid-social, covering both its motor industry and consumer audiences, and trade and corporate communications.
Our plan is to deliver a series of integrated campaigns this year addressing the strategic challenges facing the UK’s independent garage workshop sector, which is one of Euro Car Parts core trade markets.
Helen Robinson, corporate communications director Euro Car Parts, said: “Our trade customers face an unprecedented level of disruption from new car technology and shifting consumer habits. It’s our responsibility, as the biggest player in our sector, to help them to futureproof their businesses.
“Citypress grasped the scale of this challenge and pitched some exciting, engaging and original ideas for how we can support the independent workshop sector’s transformation.”
Our director, Ricky Ambury, added: “Euro Car Parts is a giant in the UK automotive industry and significant new addition to our stable of market-leading brands.
“It has a unique communications challenge in trying to engage a highly fragmented and complex market of consumer audiences alongside thousands of independent garages in towns and cities across the UK.
“We’ll be leveraging our expertise in earned, social and content marketing to create compelling campaigns that connect these garages with Euro Car Part’s mission.”
