Citypress named top 10 PR adviser in M&A rankings
23rd January 2024
Communications agency Citypress has been ranked as one of the most active M&A PR advisers in the UK, according to research by global market intelligence service Mergermarket.
The agency’s financial communications practice ranked 9th in the UK by deal volume after providing strategic support on 27 transactions in 2023. Deal activity was generated from a broad client base of private equity, corporate finance advisers, corporates, and institutional funds, including LDC, FRP Corporate Finance, GLIL Infrastructure and Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between investor and developer Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
Sophie Millward, Director at Citypress, said: “M&A activity is absolutely at the core of our work in financial communications and a significant driver of our growth in recent years. We have an active role that supports dealmakers across the transaction process, from due diligence, media training, and strategic communications plans, right through to stakeholder and media engagement.
“We’ve already had a busy start to 2024 as the M&A market continues its recovery and pipelines begin to build. We expect activity across the mid-market to drive deal volumes this year as business leaders consider growth opportunities and investment funds look to deploy capital after a relatively cautious 2023.”
Citypress was named in the Sunday Times Best Place to Work rankings in 2023. The agency continues to be recognised within the industry, including securing its position as a top 20 independent UK PR agency in the PR Week Top 150 Consultancies ranking, PRWeek Best places to Work Large Agency of the Year 2023 and PRMoment Large Agency of the Year 2023.
