Alton Towers’ Head of PR joins Citypress

Lizzie Roberts has joined Citypress as a director in our strategic media and communications team.

She joins from Alton Towers Resort where she was Head of PR and Media Relations for four years and led the organisation’s reputational recovery from the impact of The Smiler accident in 2015.

Prior to that she spent over five years at Tesco, with responsibility for the company’s broadcast and video content strategy. She was previously News Editor for ITV LondonNews, setting the daily agenda for ITV’s award-winning news programme in the capital.

Lizzie joins an experienced strategic media and communications team at Citypress that provides senior counsel to organisations and brands.

Her appointment follows a number of significant PR agency client wins in recent months, including Shawbrook Bank and Pilgrim’s UK, one of Britain’s leading food and farm businesses. We also provide PR and corporate communications counsel to brands including Aldi, Molson Coors, Coca-Cola European Enterprises, British Land and Lloyds Banking Group.
